Personal Trainer Aaron Edwards began lifting weights as a teenager through the inspiration of his father. At the age of 18, Aaron earned the title of United States Marine. During his time as a Marine, he increased his physical and mental discipline while also maintaining a first class fitness award for 6 years. He learned the importance of discipline, motivation, and a positive mental attitude. Aaron has an associate’s degree in Criminal Justice.
Aaron has obtained his ACE personal training certification and primarily focuses on functional movement that can be used in everyday life. He also has experience in training for multi-distance running as well as the traditional bodybuilder-type training. While being married and having three kids of his own, he has also developed a program for kids to learn self defense. He has taken his knowledge of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and combined it with his love and passion for kids. Aaron believes that through a positive environment, kids can easily develop their confidence and discipline at an early age. Aaron also teaches BJJ to adults. Emphasis is placed on comradery and technique, rather than strength. “Keep it playful”, has become the motto for all ages.
John Lampkins, known as “Coach John,” is described by many as passionate, patient, and a spiritually led person for all individuals, especially those who want to learn the game of basketball. John’s skills and training began as a player at Chocowinity High School. He took the game of basketball seriously and practiced diligently. His devotion to the game of basketball afforded his the opportunity to play on the same team with, against, and coach some of the most prominent athletes of our team.
Highlighting a few athletes Coach John played against include Tony Midgett (American University), Brian Rossin (Retired NBA/Hornets), Danny Moore (Cumberland University), and Harry Burres (N.C. State).
John has played semi-pro basketball with Chavis Height “Ray’s Team” League for six years, and a host of tournaments playing against elite players that included: Jerry Stackhouse (UNC – NBA Orlando Magic), Donald Williams (UNC), Rasheed Wallace (UNC – Retired NBA), Ed Cota (UNC – Professional Basketball Overseas), Jeff Capel (Duke – Assistant Coach at Duke), Chuckie Brown (N.C. State/Retired NBA), Gary Mallinson (St. Augustine), Corey Hightower (NBA), and Rickey Price (Duke).
John’s coaching and mentoring accomplishments include many basketball greats such as Jimmy Boston (Professional Overseas Basketball – Japan), Tyrone Greene (N.C. and A&T), Damian Wilkins (NBA – Detroit Pistons), Cor-j-Cox (Mississippi Valley State), Samantha Smith (Georgia – Southwestern State), Ebony Lawrence (Charlotte University), and many more.
Today, John shares his enthusiasm, expertise, and experience to basketball. Currently, he is coaching ABA-Pro Team East Carolina Trojans and AAU Gardner Road Youth Basketball team with Founders David West (NBA Indiana Pacers) and Dwayne West.
John is the proud founder and coach of the Washington Heels AAU Basketball League with five nationally ranked players by United States Specialty Sports Association standards. He also coaches a fourth grade team that is ranked 20th by United States Basketball Association rankings.
John Lampkins is determined to continue making a difference in his community and the lives of youth through his passion and love for basketball.

Amanda has her B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science from Campbell University. Also, an Associates degree in Science from Pitt Community College! Amanda was an a collegiate athlete in the sport of softball. She uses a circuit style of training , but modified and programed for each individual! Her goal as a trainer is to be a motivator and positive encouragement to her clients while providing beneficial workouts and great guidance. Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and friends!

Andrew is an NSCA Certified Personal Trainer, who earned his Bachelors in Science: Health and Fitness Specialist degree from East Carolina University. He has experience in General Fitness for overall health as well as bodybuilding, and powerlifting styles of training. Andrew loves spending time with his family and friends.

Erica graduated from East Carolina University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in the Health Fitness Specialist field. Throughout her college career she worked for the ECU Pirates football team. She has a great deal of knowledge in Powerlifting and Olympic lifting, as she was a part of the college weightlifting team. After being accepted as a Performance Intern at EXOS headquarters in AZ, she spent 5 months in Phoenix working with world-class athletes and learning how to create programs geared towards each individual athlete based on general and specific goals and needs. She believes human performance is for everyone and wants to use her knowledge of fitness to help individuals improve their everyday performance and reach their goals.

Meet Rachel Chesson, the newest addition to the Williamston Personal Training staff! She is currently pursuing a career in Physical Therapy by majoring in Exercise Physiology at ECU. Fitness hasn’t always been a part of her life. After becoming a member at Fitness Unlimited, she ended up losing 40lbs! Her strength as a trainer is in the weight room. She has a passion for weightlifting and loves working with clients that share that passion. Rachel has experience with all spectrums of fitness, CrossFit, bodybuilding, you name it! She loves people and fitness. Her goal is to change lives one workout at a time!
Dustin Mann, Personal Trainer
Dustin is an ECU graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology. He is currently enrolled at Martin County Community College for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. He has experience working in rehabilitation facilities. He was recently certified through the American College of Sports Medicine as a Certified Exercise Physiologist. Since an early age, fitness has always been a part of his life. His skill set includes balance/gait training, functional movement patterns, strength and conditioning, sport specific training, flexibility improvement exercises, and myofascial release techniques. He firmly believes that Exercise is Medicine and that a healthier life comes from being active.
Dustin will be getting married in the Fall and is very excited to start that new chapter in his life. Dustin really enjoys the outdoors, sports, and hanging out with family and friends. He is very excited to continue to impact people’s lives in a positive way.

Brenda Johnson, Personal Trainer
Brenda joined Fitness Unlimited in 2014 shortly after moving to Williamston. As a stay-at-home mom, she considered the gym a place she could focus on herself and prioritize her own health and well-being. After regularly attending group fitness classes for years, Brenda gained her Yoga and Group Fitness certifications and began teaching at the gym in January 2017. Brenda recently earned her Personal Trainer certification through the American College of Sports Medicine.
As a personal trainer, Brenda will help you find the types of exercise you enjoy, and design programs that help you reach your goals and build your knowledge and confidence about health and fitness. As a mother of two young boys, she understands the struggle of balancing family, work, and the gym, but also knows that taking time to focus on your own health has benefits for your entire family.
If she is not teaching or participating in a Group Fitness class, Brenda can be found picking things up and putting them down in the weight room and hopes to one day compete in powerlifting.
